Your seahorse necklace is carefully handcrafted and designed in Norway.
In order to make your exact necklace, we collected microplastic from Groos (coordinates 58.327°N 8.580°E), a beach on the Southern coast of Norway. After that, our team carefully assembled and crafted your necklace by hand, a time consuming but rewarding piece of work. Because of this, no two necklaces will ever be identical.
Wear the necklace as a reminder for a cleaner ocean, and spread the word about how others also can make a positive impact.
Your purchase funded the collection of 2 kg (~4 lbs) plastic waste from the ocean and coastlines, which is the equivalent of 100 plastic bottles. The ocean and all marine life will forever be grateful.
You also had a direct impact on human life. We pay a premium for plastic to our plastic collectors. The income is instrumental for the plastic collectors, and enables them to provide for their families.
All plastic collected is verified with blockchain technology from IBM on Plastic Bank's proprietary platform to ensure transparency and traceability.
